The Senior Water \/ Wastewater Project Manager is expected to be have or be able to build trusted client relationships. In addition, this role calls for the qualified individual to perform as a seller-doer, working with HDR’s client development and marketing groups. Planning, design and construction administration of Pump Station and Water Treatment facilities experience required.
Primary duties of the Senior Water \/ Wastewater Project Manager will include planning directing and monitoring all aspects of large multi-disciplinary water and wastewater treatment projects with high degrees of technical complexity. More specifically the Senior Water \/ Wastewater Project Manager will be expected to independently lead and supervise teams of engineers and CAD professionals to create detailed master or facility plans, designs, drawings and specifications, and coordinate the development of cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment and related systems.
Responsibilities include: developing project design criteria schematics and methods; performing or overseeing process design sizing and hydraulic calculations; preparing preliminary design and other engineering reports; determining and writing engineering specifications: overseeing the production of design drawings; developing and executing QA\/QC plans for each project; and working directly with the owner to ensure that the project meets or exceeds the owners expectation.
The Senior Water \/ Wastewater Project Manager must demonstrate the ability to lead design teams in medium to large multi-disciplinary wastewater treatment projects, while also mentoring engineering personnel. This position will be viewed as a technical authority with recognized expertise in the areas of wastewater treatment regulations processes equipment and operations. *LI-MR1

Bachelor of Science in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering required.
PE required, MS preferred.
Prior project engineering and management experience in a consulting firm.
Minimum 15 years of experience in the planning and design of municipal water and wastewater treatment systems.
Proven project leadership and mentoring skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Software knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including willingness to present for clients and conferences.
Broad knowledge of wastewater processes and technologies.
Excellent team player with ability to function effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teams.
