**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Civil / Water Resources Engineer with a Water Resources focus to join our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. The appropriately qualified candidate will exercise judgment in the evaluation of problems and selecting/adapting engineering alternatives.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Application of standard civil engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out tasks related to the planning and design of civil/municipal projects including storm water systems (sewer/watercourse/best management practices), sanitary sewer systems, and other infrastructure such as roadways, water, and site development applications

Planning work may include water quality or quantity modeling

Design work including development of plans, specifications, and construction estimates (PS&E)

Develop storm sewer system quantity and quality models, sanitary sewer system capacity models and river system models

Developing plans, specifications and engineering estimates for a variety of civil engineering projects including storm water and sanitary sewer planning and design

Developing permit application submittals

Develops and formulates solutions to client problems on assigned projects

**Minimum Requirements**

Bachelor's degree in Engineering - preferably Civil or Water

2 years of related stormwater &/or sanitary sewer experience

EIT/FE or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Knowledge of water quality modeling (WinSLAMM) and water quantity modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, Mike Urban, HydroCAD, etc)

Knowledge of GIS and CAD software - preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D

Knowledgeable of floodplain, storm water management and erosion control requirements under NR 116, NR 151, and NR216 of Wisconsin Administrative Code and other permitting requirements

Experienced in working with WDNR, WisDOT, Corps of Engineers and other regulatory agencies

**Preferred Qualifications**

Experienced in presenting projects to local government bodies/committee and also at public information meetings and experience having public involvement

Professional Engineer certification (PE)

Experience with project management requirements and systems

Knowledgeable of Wisconsin Bidding law for public works projects
