Stanley Consultants is seeking a highly energetic and entrepreneurial person that enjoys working in a team environment to lead business development and project delivery for existing and new clients for water resources/heavy civil engineering projects in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin and the Dakotas. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced team of geotechnical, structural, civil, and water resources engineers that deliver heavy civil engineering projects focused on dams, flood risk reduction, river restoration, hydropower, and earth retaining structures for clients nationally and globally.

The successful candidate will enjoy the initiation, development, and maintenance of close client and staff relationships; support and feedback from the water resources management team, the delivery of water resources projects; the execution of creative approaches to project development; and personal dedication to serving client needs.

The Client Service Manager will preferably be based in our Minneapolis, Minnesota office.

Essential Duties:

Initiates, develops, and maintains close public and private client relationships at local, state, and national levels

Assists in developing strategic plans for assigned clients including identification of project opportunities and pursuits

Manages and tracks the execution of that plan within the Midwestern region.

Leverages internal technical experts to gain footholds with new clients

Manages the preparation of proposals, presentations, and contract procedures

Maintains Client relations and participates in project delivery as required

Actively participates in professional organizations at the local, regional, and national levels

Develops creative and innovative approaches to project development

Develop a network of connections and regional expertise to expand our projects and clients within the Midwest

Requirements

Required skills, education and experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in water resources science/engineering or applicable technical field, MS preferred

15+ years of relevant experience in a water resources or related public environment, including understanding of client services management and business development

Must possess knowledge of water resources infrastructure

Must possess a working knowledge of Federal and non-Federal funding sources for water resources projects

Membership and current active participation in applicable professional societies is a plus
