For eligible employees we offer health and wellness benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off, and much more.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an individual to join our team in the operation and maintenance of our wastewater equipment and systems at our Meriden facility.The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of the wastewater treatment system.Specific duties will include but not be limited to, transferring wastewaters from vehicles to tanks, transferring material between tanks, operating the facility\u2019s clarifier and filterpress, sampling tanks and trucks, operating laboratory instrumentation, calibrating facility instrumentation, preforming periodic inspections.
Once training has been completed, the work schedule for this position will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 p.m.to 7:00 a.m.QualificationsA high school diploma or the equivalent in work experience is required.The selected candidates must obtain a Connecticut Grade 1 Industrial Wastewater Treatment license within a reasonable period of time, and must be able to lift 50 lbs.These individuals will be responsible for keeping accurate logs (according to OSHA standards and requirements); must be able to maintain and keep our facility clean; and be able to operate a forklift safely.The selected candidates must be able to work alone with limited supervisor; and be able to complete tasks as assigned.Knowledge of pumps would be helpful.Previous experience with working on computer systems in the entering of data is required.The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check, are required.
