Lead or coordinate the engineering activities for Detroit projects and regional water customers
Provide on-site field engineering support and installation oversight for project in the Detroit area
Work directly with customer to provide consultative services for their automation needs
Scope out potential projects and provide detailed engineering estimates and design criteria
Build and enhance the existing customer relations in the area
Perform monthly project cost reviews on assigned projects and implement procedures to improve project cost and performance
Collaboratively resolve customers’ technical, contractual and warranty by balancing financial and customer satisfaction goals
Ability to quickly and clearly understand problems crossing many technical disciplines and various organizations
Independently review customer issues to determine the appropriate level of Emerson authority needed to assist in resolution
Lead and implement effective solutions to customer problems that strengthen Emerson’s position within our industry
Past experience in project management plus demonstrated leadership is a plus. Experience in Water/Wastewater industry is a plus. A PE or PMP is desired.
The position requires 25% travel.','!*!The position requires a B.S. in related discipline and eight years of related experience in field service, project management or project engineering.
The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple activities at the same time, assess technical specifications, understand the Ovation system and the ability to apply it to water/wastewater applications. Basic understanding of finance reporting and forecasting is also required.
