Kimley-Horn is actively seeking a creative, talented Water Resources Engineer for employment in the Denver office. This is an opportunity to become involved with land development, municipal roadway and flood control related design projects within Colorado. The position requires a solid understanding of drainage design for land development and roadway related design projects, a strong foundation of hydrologic and hydraulics engineering principles, and solid communication skills. Work at this level requires the ability to work in a team and collaborative environment. Projects will primarily involve hydrologic and hydraulic engineering for roadway/highway, municipal street, flood control, civil and aviation projects.
Complete engineering analysis and calculations
Prepare hydraulic and hydrology models
Prepare studies, reports, design documents, and design plans and specifications for civil and water resources projects
Prepare informative exhibits using AutoCAD and GIS
Prepare scopes of work and associated budgets
Perform task and/or project management duties
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in the civil and water resources engineering areas
CO Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain the license within 2 years
Excellent leadership and desire to take on project management tasks and responsibilities
Min. Education Level
EIT - Engineer-In-Training
