This position will be scheduled to work weekends. Days off will be Tuesdays/Wednesdays or Wednesdays/Thursdays.
Dayshift position but subject to call-out/overtime as needed.
Candidate must live within a 30 minute commute of the facility.
To operate, control repair and maintain in accordance with diagrams sketches operating manuals and manufacturer’s specifications machinery and mechanical equipment used to process water treatment residuals using hand tools power tools precision measuring.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists cranes hand tools and power tools.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools levels plumb bobs, and straightedges. Repairs or replaces defective parts using hand and power tools. Starts devices to test their performance. Lubricates and cleans parts.
May set up and operate drill press grinder and other metal working tools to make repairs or repair parts. Acquire materials for repairs to machinery or to maintain orderly flow of materials and processes. Maintain records drawings and reports within area of responsibility.
Perform treatment plant operator duties. Operate and maintain sludge dewatering equipment. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Specific Vocational Preparation includes an occupationally significant combination of vocational education apprentice training, in-plant training on-the-job training or essential experience in less responsible jobs. Over 1 year.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Two years experience working in electrical mechanical and/or process instrumentation and equipment.
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Candidate will be required to obtain their PA DEP Wastewater License within specific timeframe.
