HDR currently has an opening for a Project Manager- Water/ Wastewater to join our team in New England. The primary duty of the position is to independently develop and manage engineering teams on projects encompassing pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, tanks, conveyance, and treatment systems.
More specific responsibilities will include preparing facility planning studies, engineering reports, design plans and specifications, performing site layouts, sizing and selecting equipment, working with pump stations, evaluating treatment alternatives, preparing cost opinions, performing life cycle cost analyses and process calculations, performing hydraulic analysis calculations and developing hydraulic profiles, preparing process and civil design drawings, and coordinating with CADD/BIM designers for construction plan production.
Responsible for independently coordinating the work of staff engineers and CADD technicians throughout the development of projects while ensuring deadlines are met and within budget.
Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews
Implement QA/QC procedures
Execute training for personnel as established by strategic plans
Will work directly with clients and will be responsible for client development, marketing, contracting, design, and production.
May function as a technical specialist and/or project manager on projects and could also be expected to lead junior engineers.

','!*!Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering required.
Registered Professional Engineer
8 years of experience in planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities required.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
Some experience leading engineering teams as a project manager preferred.
Active in area municipal water/wastewater industry associations is a strong plus.
Preference given to local candidates.
