Water / Wastewater Project Engineers will have a Bachelors Degree, in municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities municipal planning, design and construction, and a PE. The Project Engineer, with the support of a strong nationally recognized staff, will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge of water/wastewater planning, design & construction engineering, along with a proven reputation for excellence in Client Management to successfully execute projects within the municipal and industrial Water/Wastewater market to help build and grow our practice in the southeast market. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Provide technical support to our team of highly skilled engineers, while leading tasks/projects simultaneously and utilizing technical knowledge and expertise to develop the teams overall capabilities. Manages tasks/projects and clients expectations for the planning, design and construction of Water/Wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations as well as creating construction documents, specifications and handling construction oversight/administration. Meets established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope schedule and budget. Works directly with clients to determine needs and provide solutions, and may lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations. Coordinates execution of projects with other disciplines and office personnel. Develops small to large design projects from inception to completion. Prepares complete construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of W/WW systems for clients. Creates cost estimates and project schedules, and will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule. Performs detailed engineering calculations & analysis, and utilizes design software to solve complex issues. Supervises and supports the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff. Maintains company standards and specifications for Water Resources design & construction projects. Performs other duties, as assigned. *Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering. Professional Engineering Registration. Minimum of 7 years experience in municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities municipal planning, design and construction. Must have project leadership {Task Manager, Design Lead or Technical Lead} experience on W/WW projects of various sizes. Excellent technical engineering skills in the W/WW practice area. Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills. Excellent technical writing skills. Experience preparing, reviewing and approving design reports, project drawings, specifications, schedules and cost estimates. Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and managing client expectations, developing and then leading presentations, with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the Client. Functional experience with MS Office applications. *Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or an MBA). Project experience including design and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities for municipal and industrial clients; upgrades, expansions, rehabilitation and retrofits, and pumping/lift stations. Design-build project experience. Active participation in Regional or National professional associations.
