**Position Title** Client Account Manager-Water/Wastewater

We are seeking a dynamic, personable Client Account Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to do meaningful work with the #1 Engineering Design Firm globally and grow our top water clients, managing client accounts from $500K to $5M in gross annual revenue. The successful candidate will enjoy developing key client relationships primarily in the California/Southwest market and developing strategies to win new and repeat business for AECOM.
This position location is flexible to either the Orange or Los Angeles office.
Specific job duties include:
Serve as AECOM’s primary point of contact with clients.
Review and understand AECOM’s obligations on current client contracts.
Regularly meet with staff from multiple levels of the client’s organization to obtain feedback on AECOM’s performance and identify opportunities.
Monitor client satisfaction and addresses performance issues.
Prepares Client Account Plan and Capture Plans.
Manages proposal development process in compliance with AECOM policies.
Ensures clients become a sustainable source of repeat business.
Work with Area Business Unit Leader and Geography Business Development Leads on development of sales
Develop marketing and client capture strategies.
Establish relationships with both external and internal clients and customers.
Identify upcoming water and wastewater pursuits in the California/Southwest municipal water/wastewater market.
Position AECOM for pursuits that best fit our skillset.
Lead the proposal development process including Statement of Qualifications, Technical Proposals and Presentations.
Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen existing client relationships and establish new relationships; obtain an understanding of emerging technologies and market drivers.
Maintain a high local and regional profile.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or related Engineering discipline.
10 years of experience with at least 5 years of direct project management and/or client management experience.
Excellent client relationship skills including the need to be able to listen and communicate effectively, and train and mentor project management/ client service team staff, and address the issues and keep the client happy.
Proven track record with large client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering/technical sales.
Experience in client prepositioning activities, proposal development, and execution of selection interviews.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in leading and supporting the preparation of Client Account Plans and pursuits Capture Plans.
Capability to quickly understand AECOM’s obligations under contracts, assess performance and risk factors, and resolve issues.
Knowledgeable in sustainable engineering processes related to California/Southwest total water cycle management including stormwater, drinking water and wastewater.
Wastewater Project or Client Management experience.
Proven success managing and growing major client accounts.
Preferably with deep knowledge of key client organizations in LA Metro area.
