AECOM's Water Business Unit is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer for immediate employment in the Salt Lake City, Utah office. This is a technical role and will include working with engineers and project managers on a variety of projects within Water Resources and Transportation markets. This individual should be a creative, highly talented engineer adept in business development, technically proficient, and have a successful track record of managing a team of professionals in a fast paced multidisciplinary setting
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Supporting, maintaining and building client relationships.
Marketing in the form of conference presentations, proposal writing, and project interviews.
Mentoring staff through project team creation and project execution.
Plan, direct and supervise operations included in large complex project or several moderately sized projects.
Perform independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited college.
12 years of experience.
Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to obtain Utah license within 6 months.
Ability to work with Autodesk Civil 3D, GIS and a variety of surface water modeling software.
Ability to travel for work
Advanced degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s or PhD).
15 year of proven progressive experience in water resources.
Leadership skills to manage a small team, or large project teams.
A knowledge of the local and regional hydrologic and hydraulic methods accepted by state and federal agencies.
Experience with civil site design, hydrologic analysis, hydraulic analysis and design, concrete structures, earthwork, levees, dams, cost estimating, and project specifications.
Experience using the full suite of Army Corps of Engineers HEC software.
Experience with the FEMA Risk MAP Program.
