**Position Title** Entry Level Water Resource Engineer

The Water Division of AECOM is actively seeking a motivated, highly talented Water Resource Engineer for immediate employment in the Raleigh, NC office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of surface hydrology, open channel flow and bridge and culvert hydraulics. Our department uses spatial data, LiDAR and field survey coupled with the latest 1D/2D modeling software to identify flooding hazards in communities across the nation. The successful candidate will work side by side with a team engineers and GIS professionals that develop cutting edge processes to deliver high quality flood hazard information to the client and the local communities in a timely and efficient manner.

As an Engineer I in AECOM’s Raleigh, NC Water Division, you will:
Develop hydrology models using a variety of methods and software
Develop 1D and 2D hydraulic models that simulate steady state and unsteady flow regimes using the latest software
Produce maps, reports and databases to communicate the results of the hydraulic analyses to industry professionals, public officials and the public
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET accredited university
0-2 years of experience
Understanding of hydrology and hydraulic processes supported by relevant coursework
Desire to succeed in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
Has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam
Experience working with a variety of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
Familiar with geographic information systems (GIS) software
