We seek a dedicated individual to maintain the Facility's water treatment systems, waste water systems, and all associated equipment. Perform routine daily sampling, testing, inspections and analysis. Works with outside contractors for proper chemical treatment and control. Maintains water treatment chemical inventory and accurate computerized records as required by management. Ensures all water treatment systems are well maintained and must be able to perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance of all associated equipment allowing for maximum reliability and availability. Maintains hazardous material emergency response containment inventory. The Water Technician will work under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor and the direction of the Shift Supervisor and Control Room Operator. In addition to water treatment responsibilities, the position is required to support the Facility's operations with daily, weekly and monthly compliance checks; support boiler outages as needed with lock-out tag-out, cleaning inspection of boilers, and help with oversight of contractors.
A High School Diploma/GED is required with at least three (3) years experience in water treatment operations (preferably in the power plant industry), coupled with basic computer, blueprint, P & ID, schematic specifications and vendor requirement reading experience. This position requires manual labor as well as wearing a full-face respirator at times, so you must be clean shaven daily.
