Aerotek's Client is seeking 3 Plant Operators to join its team in New Haven. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and controlling process equipment and performing mechanical maintenance throughout the water pollution control plant. Our Operators' time will be split between Dewatering and Incineration Duties could include greasing equipment, changing belts, oil changes in gearboxes, handling receipt of supply shipments, They will maintain records of plant operations including hourly operating data, plant violations, and abnormal operating conditions They will perform fire guard duty as well as confined space watch. They will Perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the facility to include sweeping, shoveling, and other housekeeping activities. MUST HAVES: 1) Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude 2) Reliable vehicle 3) Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, holidays, on call duty and emergency call-ins. 4) Ability to do basic reading, writing, and arithmetic including reading a tape measure and using hand tools About Aerotek: We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
