We are seeking an ambitious and highly-motivated Civil Project Engineer
with solid AutoCAD and technical writing skills. You will be responsible for managing a variety of water and wastewater infrastructure and distribution systems projects located across the U.S. Knowledge of underground piping networks, GIS mapping, waterworks distribution, and water/wastewater treatment technologies is desired. This role is a key member of a corporate engineering team located at the company headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Periodic overnight travel (
EIT/FE certification is strongly preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
3+ years of design engineering, project management, and/or field construction of steel tanks, large storage vessels, civil infrastructure upgrades, or water/wastewater projects.
Knowledge of water distribution systems and hydraulics including pipe loss calculations and pump design. Knowledge of pipe network analysis is a plus.
Knowledge and understanding of design codes and standards to perform evaluations and subsequent modifications of existing structures.
Demonstrated skill in proposal development, permits packages and successful project management and delivery.
Some knowledge of design and or retrofitting of existing structures (storage towers, lift stations, pumps, piping networks, AMI/AMR metering technology, etc.) is preferred.
Excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills required to manage multiple complex tasks and solve complex and multi-dimensional issues.
Excellent organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Computer competency including use of AutoCAD and MS Office software.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% overnight.
