This position is responsible for assisting in the development of a Business Plan and Growth Strategy for the Carolina’s Region through collaborative efforts with the US Operating Center (USOC) Manager, Mid-Atlantic Business Manager, and NC Service Group Managers. Expand new business in the Carolina’s with a focus on the Raleigh area targeting large primarily public agencies. In conjunction with existing staff, develop an implementation strategy for growth and business development in the Raleigh area – identify realistic, attainable, and measurable goals. Perform Project Director Duties on engineering assignments including liaison with clients, guidance and mentoring of project teams, technical reviews, and QA/QC compliance, risk management, tracking of project performance criteria, and completion of project closeout. Lead study, design, or construction teams, delegate project tasks and respond to project issues. The Principal Manager has multiple roles which includes, but is not limited to, the following: Enhancing client relationships, winning work, staffing projects, and staff development. Assisting with the development of structured marketing plans and complete the actions designated to your position. Achieve performance goals with respect to new business, client services, staff development, and engineering assignments. Actively participate with Technical Societies to develop relationships and new business opportunities.
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
A Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
A minimum of 15 years’ experience
NC Professional Engineering license
Prior consulting experience in NC working with municipal clients on civil and environmental engineering assignments – primarily water, wastewater and infrastructure.
Must be a team player
Ability to coordinate or manage multiple assignments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Regional travel by vehicle is expected
International travel is possible (valid passport required)
