Primary Responsibilities The primary duties of the Water/Wastewater EIT includes creating detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment systems, distribution systems and collection systems under instruction from the Project Engineer and/or Project Manager. More specific responsibilities include preparing plans for water and wastewater systems, calculations, writing specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determining appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection and working directly with the owner. Conducts quality control reviews of completed designs. Should be familiar with water and wastewater treatment processes/technologies, conveyance/transmission and open channel flow. In the role of a Water/Wastewater EIT, we'll count on you to: u2022 Support and create detailed designs for water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities under instruction from the Project Engineer/Project Manager. u2022 Prepare plans, specifications, and Engineeru2019s Cost Estimate for design projects, as well as perform analysis and study-level reports for water, wastewater, and stormwater planning projects. u2022 Conduct quality control reviews of completed designs u2022 Perform other duties as needed Qualifications Required Qualifications u2022 Bachelor's degree from accredited engineering program u2022 Prior internship experience u2022 Microsoft Office experience u2022 Must be able to work in a team environment u2022 An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Desired Qualifications u2022 Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain u2022 AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and/or MicroStation design experience Why HDR At HDR, we know work isnu2019t only about who you work for; itu2019s also about what you do and how you do it.
