Sanitaire, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Product Manager to be responsible for managing the complete global aeration product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities for Sanitaire. This position is located in Brown Deer, WI.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
Manages the execution of the multi-year regional roadmap for the portfolio including; new product development, value improvements, product introductions, ongoing marketing, product support and service
Manage the product life cycle (launch to end-of-life) strategy and execution including identifying â€œsweet spotâ€ applications in municipal and industrial markets and ensuring competitiveness of products (costs, features, price)
Understands and specifies market requirements and market and technology trends for current and future products by conducting product related market research supported by Voice of Customer received through on-going visits to customers and other stakeholders
Monitors competition with respect to market performance, product portfolio and product performance
Actively participates in the product development processes by launching new products and value improvements
Consults in the strategic pricing decisions as well as in the transactional and project pricing decisions of the sales teams
Plans the marketing/communication strategy for products
Monitors key market and performance data such as orders, sales, market share and margin to access product performance and develop counter measures when necessary to ensure profitability of the portfolio
Responsible for technical and commercial product documentation and provides sales tools and product training
Actively interfaces with Operations to drive cost improvements that drive margin expansion
Participates in technical meetings, conferences, workshops, industry days, trade shows and association events
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience in engineering or product management
Minimum of five yearsâ€™ experience as a Product Manager or related wastewater sales or engineering experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Fluent in English; multi-lingual capabilities desirable
Domestic and international travel fluctuates between 25-50%
Process engineering experience in the water/wastewater industry either municipal and/or industrial preferred
