WSP is currently initiating a search for a Water Resources Engineer
for our Charlotte, NC
Duties and Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for civil design tasks for projects involving storm water management, drainage systems, as well as water distribution systems, sanitary sewer conveyance systems, and pump stations.
Participate on project teams to plan and design NCDOT and municipal storm water, water and wastewater infrastructure facilities
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic studies and design using hydrologic and hydraulic software
Prepare contract documents including reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
Be highly proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation as well ESRI GIS software an integral part of the design work

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Project experience in the following areas is desirable:
Civil engineering principles and practices
Storm water management and drainage systems on NCDOT projects
Bridge hydraulic/scour analysis; flood control; and other water resource projects
Potable water distribution systems, and wastewater conveyance systems and pump stations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3 to 5 years’ experience.
North Carolina PE license
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic design software is highly desirable
Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation and ESRI GIS a plus
Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement are highly desirable
