Protection and\rmanagement of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the\rmovement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and\rreservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and\rwater/wastewater treatment plants.\r\r\r\rDESCRIPTION\r\rMichael Baker International is seeking a\rWater/Wastewater Engineer who will assist in the planning and design of water\rand wastewater conveyance facilities; to include pipelines, pump stations,\rstorage tanks, distribution vaults. \rPreferred candidates will have knowledge of hydraulic modeling, I/I and\rSSES analysis, condition assessment, and rehabilitation design of\rinfrastructure. \r\r\r\r• You will be\rinvolved with a variety of water, and wastewater- related projects such as\rconveyance systems, pump stations and pipeline work. \r\r• You will\rwork as part of a project team and be responsible for planning, design\rdevelopment, calculations, presentations and overall project development for a\rvariety of projects.\r\r• Prepare\rdesign calculations, drawings, and specifications for water and wastewater\rconveyance systems (e.g. pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks).\r\r• Conduct\rtechnical evaluations to support planning and design related to water and wastewater\rconveyance systems.\r\r• Prepare\rand review of technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and\rmiscellaneous contract documents.\r\r• Assist\rtechnical marketing during the procurement of key projects.\r\r• \rCommunicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including\rother disciplines (cost estimators, GIS, designers, and other engineers). \r\r\r\rPROFESSIONAL\rREQUIREMENTS \r\r• Possess a\rBachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering\rfield required.• Have a\rminimum of 4 years of increasingly-responsible, professional experience in the\rstudy, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater\rconveyance infrastructure (pipelines, force mains, and pump stations).\r\r• Possess a\rProfessional Engineer (PE) Classification\r\r• Be\rself-starter, versatile and interested in working on a variety of projects\rsupporting the Water and Wastewater Group.\r\r• Have\rexcellent technical writing and communication skills required.\r\r• \rDemonstrate proficiency in organization and presentation of\rdocumentation.\r\r• Proficient\rin drafting tools (AutoCADD).\r\r• Proficient\rwith Microsoft Suite including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and\rPowerPoint is required\r\r
