Set project specifications and procedures; coordinate and direct projects,
detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of
technical activities; analyze technology, resource needs, and market
demands, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects; plan and direct the

chlorination, fluoridation, preliminary treatment, primary treatment,
trickling filter, biosolids production and pumping, biosolids thickening;
perform engineering economic analysis including life cycle economic
analysis, capital and O&M cost, present worth analysis, etc.
Analyses include water chemistry and microbiology; membrane processes;
disposal of treatment plant residuals; environmental impact and project
permitting; plant and network design; hydraulics and power analysis
modeling, pipe materials evaluation, pipeline diameter optimization
analysis, variable energy cost analysis, life-cycle economic analysis,
design of process and piping configurations; analysis of ocean outfall
dispersion, initial dilution and diffuser design, ocean outfall modeling,
outfall plume analysis, tide and wave predictions, outfall condition
assessment, investigation, and rehabilitation.
Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, plus 7 years of
engineering experience in wastewater treatment, aquatic systems analysis,
planning, soil mechanics, hydraulic, and pollution control required.
